   Escolha sua pipa. Existem muitas variedades para escolher e você pode até mesmo fazer a sua própria. As pipas com a forma padrão são mais fáceis de voar, mas se você procura algo mais desafiador, escolha uma pipa grande e diferente.

   • Ventos mais amenos (de aproximadamente 10-25 km/h) são melhores para pipas no formato Delta (triangular), Diamante (losangular) e de Dragão. Se o vento está muito forte (8-40 km/h) use uma pipa no formato de caixa ou uma pipa feita de nylon (mesmo tecido usado em paragliders), para que ela suba com mais facilidade e paire por mais tempo no ar.

      Escolha o dia certo. Se há uma brisa, mas você não se sentiu muito empolgado, o melhor a se fazer é ir para um lugar mais afastado, perto de um morro, em que haja um vento mais forte. A última coisa que você vai querer é sair de casa para passar horas segurando a pipa a mão sem conseguir levantar voo. Com a brisa adequada, você pode fazer com que sua pipa dance no ar, voe, dê alguns loopings e até mesmo faça alguns truques.

      • Se não há nenhuma folha caindo no chão e elas estão se remexendo suavemente nas árvores, então encontrou o tempo perfeito. Ventos de 8 a 40 km/h são exatamente o que você procura. Para saber se o tempo está realmente bom, pegue uma bandeira ou uma biruta e veja o que acontece com elas, antes de se decepcionar com a impossibilidade de fazer sua pipa voar.
